Troy McGuire
About the Author
Troy has spent years thinking about HeadDrama (which you can draw your own conclusions about), but to see the site finally come to life feels like the birth of a child. Of course, he does not profess to knowing what that feels like, but he has witnessed such things as you'll see in a few paragraphs.
HeadDrama is part of unit that Troy oversees called “Buzz Brands,” which includes a partnership with our sisters, GalTime.com and the crazy, creative and fun syndicated national morning show, The Daily Buzz. He comes from the local TV news world like many of his crew and instead of what local news stories to cover (like boring budget meetings), he now makes decisions like “a circus fire eater wants to come on the show - how many segments should we have for her?" and "we just wrote another sex story, do you want that on the home page?" To make such critical decisions, he has a couple college degrees which turns out just to be an excuse to root for his favorite basketball team the Gonzaga Bulldogs.
Troy thinks coffee is water and thinks of Starbucks as family. Of course, if Dunkin Donuts or any other coffee company wants to sponsor the show or websites, he can easily switch alliances.
He needs the caffeine because his day starts at 5 a.m. (5ish) for the show which sounds early (OK, it’s early) but is incredibly fun. When he’s not sleep deprived or working, he hangs out with his wife and three young boys which gives him plenty of material for HeadDrama. He and his wife hope to one day visit the boys at their home, mess up every room in the house and then demand dinner.
