Everyone has one, the one friend/ acquaintance who drives you nuts! There's the self centered, the person who can't control their liquor, the one upper, the one who is ALWAYS late, and the complainer aka the "cry baby." If you don't think you have any friends who are like this, maybe you're the annoying one! Of course your friends still love you, but it has to be in small doses.
The Self Centered:
This is the person who lets you talk for about 2 seconds before they turn what you said to be about them as well. All they do is talk and talk and talk some more about themselves and what’s going on in their life. You’re lucky to get a few minutes to speak. Oh yeah, don’t expect them to ask you how your day was, it doesn’t matter.
Can’t Hold Their Liquor:
This person is great to hang out with, until they start drinking. You know before hand you are going to have to babysit even before you made it into the bar. Even if you give them a pep talk and say you want to have fun and not babysit somehow you wind up taking care of this person! Talk about a party pooper. This is definitely the person you don’t want to take out to new places if it involves beer or liquor, it can get embarrassing.
The One Upper:
Ugh, this can be extremely annoying. Sharing stories isn’t a contest on who’s been through more, who has more fun, or who suffered more. There is no need to say, “Oh that’s not bad, this one time I…” Just stop right there, sometimes it’s much better to just listen to let the person vent. There’s no need to one up everything someone says.
The Person Who Doesn’t Know How to Be On Time:
I get it, sometimes life happens and being on time doesn’t always work out the way you want it to. I’m talking about the person who is always an hour late. It’s questionable if they even know how to read time correctly. With this person it is better to tell them to be somewhere an hour earlier just because you know they won’t be there on time anyways. Fashionably late is okay, it’s when you show up later than forty five minutes every single time.
The Complainer
This person can be very emotionally draining. Is there ever a time where this person is happy about something? It sure doesn’t seem like it. No matter the occasion there is something wrong. “Ugh, the lights make me look pale.” “How long do we have to be here, this is not fun…” Just stop, please!
